Working at OUM.

To be honest, I am not that kind of person yang duduk rumah doing nothing kalau cuti. Sejak habis SPM lagi aku jenis yang akan cari kerja to get the money. Pantang ada masa kosong kat KL, aku akan contact supervisor aku dulu minta nak masuk kerja. But this time I'm not. I don't know, aku tak rasa nak kerja kat tempat sama lagi. Rasa nak try benda baru. Meet new people, so I wasn't apply for a job kat tempat biasa aku kerja tu.

Anyhow, cuti sem ni I've plenty of plans to do with my family, friends, and for myself. So I've decided not to look for a job. However, man, I need the money. I need the money for travel, I need the money the pay the bills, I need the money to shopping and other stuff that I wish I could do. Everything needs money man. That's the reason I need to work all these time. Plans tak boleh jalan kalau tak ada duit. So I have to figure out this thing.

Alhamdulillah, my sister coincidentally went to Open University Malaysia (OUM) which is just 300 meters away from my house to look for a job as a tutor. But they offered something else. Depa offer jaga orang exam. RM40 per session/3hours. I gave my name right away! That's an opportunity! Haha. So few days after that, they called and asked me to came at their place at 8am. Terus masuk kerja.

Ini pengalaman baru ni. Dah 20 tahun hidup selalu kita yang dijaga, but this time aku yang jaga orang. First day was awkward I tell youuuu. Kena jalan sana sini buat muka acah acah garang, usha takut ada yang meniru and so on. Dekat OUM ni pula, mostly the students are 30+ years old and above. Ketua pengawas himself told me, majoriti orang yang study kat situ ialah orang yang dah bekerja dan ada pengalaman. Diorang ambil exam sebab nak ijazah so they can naik pangkat. Hehe. Most of them ambil business studies, belajar sama macam apa aku belajar. Business law, finance, account, economic, human resource and all. Interestinggg. Aku tak kerja setiap hari pun, but I wish to! Kerja senang: pagi datang, edarkan soalan then tunggu jelah sampai habis masa, collect jawapan bagi dekat ketua pengawas, shrewd kertas soalan pastu balik. That is basically it. Tetibe aku realized, aku kerja nak rak penatnya kat SR dulu tapi dapat RM4/hour je. Syukurlah kita masih membuat kerja halal..

Apa yang aku observed sepanjang aku kerja kat sini, benda paling penting sekali ialah, aku bersyukur UiTM ada rules and we've followed! Benda ni serious. Everyday aku mindf*ck tengok culture diorang. Walaupun untuk jawab peperiksaan, they don't have a rule. I mean yeah you need to bring your examination slips, your matrix cards and so on. But they don't need to wear a 'sahsiah rupa diri'. They can wear what ever that they want. Wearing a shorts, slippers in the exam hall. Aku pun terkejut, "eh boleh ke nak bagi diorang masuk ni?" Haha! And they don't have that rules which cannot go out for the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes stuff. Can go to the toilet anytime. Boleh bawa masuk phone, letak atas meja lagi. Fuhhhh hahaha. Makes me thinking, what's the point of having a pengawas around, hihi. I know kita semua pun malas gila nak ikut rules. But hey, if it wasn't because of you want to sit for the exams, you won't be seeing abang abang handsome pakai kemeja smart smart, kakak kakak cantik berbaju kurung. Sopan. Thanks to the rules.

The main point here is, how suck it was to follow the rules, rules tulah yang didik kau jadi someone yang bertanggungjawab, amanah, jujur, kemas dan semua nilai murni yang wujud dalam alam semesta. And we need these kind of people for our future. Agree?

Anyway, alhamdulillah produktif juga cuti sem aku. :")))
